PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Hi Everyone,
We had a most successful tournament with 425 tables over a three day period.
Many thanks to Rita Greenwood and her staff for their tireless efforts.
The tournament netted the Unit $3127 giving our treasurer a balance of $13,433.
The Board met on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 and several decisions were made affecting the
Unit Games. For the following months the Unit Games will be held on the first Saturday
of each month. The schedule is as follows:
April 2 at Mizell CHANGE to Josyln Center, Palm Desert
May 7 at Joslyn
June 4 at LaQuinta
July 2 at Mizell
August 6 at Joslyn
September 3 at Sun City
October 1 at Mizell
The Awards Committee is working on a plan to replace the Award Boards at Mizell and
will be bringing it to the Board for approval.
As many of you enjoy the Web Site, the Board moved to officially sponsor the Web Side
and is obtaining proposals as to what the cost to the Unit will be in this regard.
There has been considerable interest in a permanent "Bridge Club" in the valley.
Sherry Rosemann and Buck Edward would like to hear from interested parties.
Many of the snowbirds will be leaving shortly. We wish them a great summer and look
forward to their return. We appreciate their support of our games.
In the March issue of the Bridge Bulletin on the back cover is a listing of the Top 10
Goodwill Gestures. Please read them and take them to heart. We all want our games to be
enjoyable.
As always your comments are welcome and appreciated.
If I can be of any assistance, please contact me.
Nancy Nason, President
