Keeping Your Private Score

It's Required In addition to the score that North keeps on the score ticket, each pair is responsible for keeping a 'private score' on the back of a convention card sheet.

This is to resolve any discrepancies that may occur. All players usually keep a private score, as they are fun to review after the session to discuss how your partner could bid and play better.

It's Confidential. Be sure not to let any opponents see your private score as they won't yet have played some of the boards you have played.

Of course, the new E/W players coming to the table must not see the results of the boards you just played. You must not discuss any hands, scores, unusual distributions, etc. as any information about unplayed hands is unethical.
