Special Responses________________
LHO - your left hand opponent - opens One Diamond and your partner says Two Spades.
What does 2ª mean ? Is it weak ? strong ? intermediate ? You will find all three interpretations in duplicate play. Most will play it weak; very few will play it strong. If your responses to such bids are conventional, such as 2NT asks for a feature, describe it on the Special Responses line.

_______________________________
Our Jump Overcalls are weak; sometimes very weak when we are white vs. red.
As our normal overcalls have a large range, 8 to 15, we can make Jump Overcalls very weak. Consequently, our responses to Jump Overcalls are simple: raise (to advance the preempt) or pass and let the opponents figure it out.
Example Weak Jump Overcall:
N E S 1© 2ª . . . East shows 6 decent Spades and nothing else.
