Strong Two Clubs Opening

Strong Suit Opener.  Our Two Over One system has only one strong suit opener -- all hands of 21 or more HCP points (or 9 1/2 tricks regardless of HCP count) are opened Two Clubs. (Two Notrump openings are limited to 20 or 21 HCP with Notrump distribution.)

These are typical Strong Two Club openers. Note they say nothing about Clubs as a possible trump suit.

2 Clubs first.   2 or 3 Hearts next. Most likely is game in Hearts.	2 Clubs Opening.  Some number of Spades next.	2 Clubs first. 2 or 3 or 6 or 7 No Trump next.

Everyone Does It. This bid is virtually universal in competitive bridge systems except for those using a strong One Club opening.

Strong Two's.  Very rarely do we find a pair opening a strong Two Hearts, Diamonds or Spades.
